So what does it do?
Well actually quite a lot... with very little effort. Below is a list of the modules you get with Gateway:
- Todays Dashboard
Everything that is happening today is shown in a ?snapshot? though this icon. This includes everything above as well as task, sales leads to follow up on, appointments due etc. It also shows who else is online so you can have instant messaging/chat with them wherever they are in the world!
- Contact Manager
Manage all your contacts in here. Make notes, set tasks, record recent activity, send invoices, convert contacts into sales leads, then into sales and see them grow in the project manager. Set your contacts into groups, hold documents and email templates against each contact. Mail merge and print out business cards. You can even set different users to have their own contact list that can be included in the shared contacts environment? All with a simple click of a button.
- Document Manager
Clean and tidy, nice and simple. Keep all your documents in one place. This is a shared environment too, so you can set access levels to determine who ? what registered users ? get access to which documents at what time. So with people working remotely, from home? the documents are always available in one central place.
- Email Manager
Shared email wherever you are. Set up in exactly the same way you would anywhere else. The email manager can be set to different levels of access depending on hierarchy and can make sure that wherever you are, wherever there is an internet connection, you will get access to your email via your usual system, not a makeshift internet webmail retrieval.
- Task Manager
Have you made a list? Have you prioritised what needs to be done? Manage yourself and your business via the simple to use task manager. Simply add a task and add the details. You can add dates and timescales and deadlines so you will always be reminded when something is due!
- Group Conference
If you have multiple users that are based in different offices, maybe different parts of the country? even dotted around the world, the Group Conference facility allows you to all come together in one place and chat in ?real time? over the internet. A quick and easy way to have group contact all in one place and at one time? wherever you are.
- Instant Messaging
Does what it says on the tin, enables you to instantly fire over that quick question to a member of your staff
- Sticky Notes
Leave yourself reminders? and anyone else for that matter! The (virtual) sticky note system allows you leave instant, visual reminders on screen so you don?t forget to pick up some milk, to take the car for an MOT or to pick up the mother in law on the way home! Oh? and of course it can be used for work-based reminders too! - Who's Online
Simple tells you who is online and who is away from their desk
- Sales Manager
Linked to the contact manager, the sales manager gives you a clear snap shot of what?s happening in sales? how many leads, how many projects, how many conversions? and how much turnover!!! Again this can be cut down to a ?per user? scenario. Manage your contacts, manage your sales? manage your business.
- Support Ticket Manager
See exactly whats happening with any support issues your clients may have.
- Finance Manager
Invoice and keep tabs of your financials, we can also export this to Sage and Quickbooks
- Reports and Stats
Linked to user and activity on the system, the report manager sets out what?s happened and when. This is invaluable when assessing activity and who?s been doing what.
- Diary Manager
Shared diaries for every user on your system. Share information on meetings, events, conferences, appointments, deadlines so everyone can be in the loop. Access rights can be set depending on who needs to see what. Again, perfect for people working remotely and/or from home.
- Wall Planner
Shared diaries for every user on your system means that the wall planner captures everyone?s activity and can therefore be viewed and colour coded all in one place without having to flick from diary to diary. The Wall planner gives you an instant view of what the weeks and months ahead look like.
- Control Panel
This is where you administer the whole system. Set access, control users, everything you need to be able to manage your Gateway.
Where does it come from?
Gateway has been independently developed by Paper Hat at its head office in the historic town of Lichfield. Paper Hat has developed Gateway with the small business in mind. A way of managing your office from anywhere in the world, Gateway is simple to use and easy to manage.
What is on demand CRM?
Customer relationship management (CRM) is a term applied to processes implemented by a company to handle its contact with its customers. CRM software is used to support these processes, storing information on current and prospective customers. Accessing this information through a CRM online is also referred to as 'on demand CRM'.
Information in the system can be accessed and entered by employees in different departments, such sales marketing customer service professional development, performance management, human resource development compensation. Details on any customer contacts can also be stored in the system. The rationale behind this approach is to improve services provided directly to customers and to use the information in the system for targeted marketing and sales purposes. From the outside, customers interacting with a company perceive the business as a single entity, despite often interacting with a variety of employees in different roles and departments. CRM is a combination of policies, processes, and strategies implemented by a company that unify its customer interaction and provides a mechanism for tracking customer information.
CRM includes many aspects which relate directly to one another:
- Business relationships
Interaction with other companies and partners, such as suppliers/vendors and retail outlets/distributors, industry networks (lobbying groups, trade associations). This external network supports front and back office activities. - Front office operations
Direct interaction with customers, e.g. face to face meetings, phone calls, e-mail, online services etc. - Back office operations
Operations that ultimately affect the activities of the front office (e.g., billing, maintenance, planning, marketing, advertising, finance, manufacturing, etc.) - Analysis
Key CRM data can be analysed in order to plan target-marketing campaigns, conceive business strategies, and judge the success of CRM activities (e.g., market share, number and types of customers, revenue, profitability, etc.).
